Décopatch PappArt Giraffe XS papier-mâché figure, 15 cm

Décopatch PappArt Giraffe XS – papier-mâché figure to decorate

The Décopatch PappArt Giraffe XS is a standing figure made of brown papier-mâché, which you decorate however you like. It is 15 cm tall and handmade, so each figure is one of a kind.

According to Décopatch, you can cover the giraffe with Décopatch papers, paint it with acrylic paint or decorate it with glitter and stickers. You can also leave it natural for a kraft look. According to the manufacturer, it is intended as a decorative object, a storytelling figure or a companion for a child.

Decorating the giraffe

For the paper technique, tear Décopatch paper into small pieces, brush a thin layer of glue onto the cardboard and lay the pieces on so that they overlap slightly. Torn edges blend into one another more softly than cut ones. Finally, brush glue or varnish over the figure as a protective layer and leave everything to dry thoroughly. If you would rather paint, apply the acrylic paint in thin layers and wait for the paint to dry between coats. Papier-mâché absorbs liquid, so use only a little glue and paint to keep the figure stable.
