Rayher FUN Ceramica mosaic tile mix – glazed clay tiles in 16 shapes

The Rayher FUN Ceramica mosaic mix is a tin of approx. 192 coloured, glazed clay pieces in a mix of yellow, red and orange for making your own mosaics. The tiles are approx. 4 mm thick and come in 16 different shapes, including heart, arrow, flower and geometric shapes. This lets you lay designs that go beyond a simple square grid.

The tin contains 400 g and, according to Rayher, covers an area of approx. 20 × 28 cm. That way you can estimate beforehand whether you need one tin or several for your tabletop or tray.

Laying your mosaic

The base should be clean, dry and firm, for example wood, a flower pot or a picture frame. First lay the tiles out loosely and move them around until you like the pattern. Then stick them down piece by piece with mosaic adhesive and let the adhesive dry completely. Next, press the grout into the gaps and wipe any residue off the tiles with a damp sponge before the grout sets. If you need a smaller piece to fill a gap, you can carefully adjust a tile with a hammer.

What the mix is used for

Typical uses are tabletops, garden balls, wooden trays, vases, flower pots, boxes, picture frames and mirrors. The mix is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Outdoors, protect the mosaic from moisture in frosty weather or keep it frost-free over the winter.
