Tealight holder mould – star and moon in one set

With this Graine Créative mould you can cast tealight holders in two shapes: a moon and a star. The mould is made of rigid plastic and is suitable for resin, plaster or concrete. The moon mould measures 125 × 80 × 15 mm, the star mould 108 × 108 × 15 mm. This lets you work out in advance how much casting compound you need to mix for each tealight holder.

The finished pieces work as home accessories or as handmade gifts. You can leave them plain or, once cured, paint them or decorate them with glitter.

Casting step by step

Place the mould on a level surface before filling, so that the tealight holder does not turn out lopsided. Mix the casting compound exactly according to the manufacturer's instructions and pour it in slowly. Then tap the mould gently so that air bubbles rise to the surface. Only remove the piece from the mould once the compound has cured completely, otherwise fine edges will break off. The curing time depends on the casting compound and is stated on its packaging.

Note on use

A mould in which you have worked with plaster, resin or concrete must not be used for food again.
