Glorex Cast-in Hangers, Medium – Hanging Plaster or Concrete Castings

The Glorex cast-in hanger, medium, is a small plastic hanger that you set into casting compounds such as plaster or concrete, so the finished casting can later hang on the wall. The pack contains 10 white hangers, each measuring 25 × 20 mm.

After casting, you press the hanger into the compound while it has not yet set. You do not need to drill or use glue. This is suitable, for example, for reliefs, plaques, door signs or moulded motifs that you want to hang up.

Setting the hanger

Pour your piece into the mould as usual and wait until the compound starts to firm up but has not yet set. Then press the hanger into the compound from the back so that it is held firmly all round.

• Place it centrally above the centre of gravity so that the piece hangs straight.
• Before casting, check that your piece is thick enough at the point where the hanger goes in.
• Do not wait too long to insert it: in compound that has already set, the hanger will no longer sit firmly.
