Glorex Mask Mould Set – 10 Mask Designs for Casting Powder and Soap

The Glorex mask mould set (art. no. 62701910) contains 10 mask designs for casting small reliefs from casting powder or soap. The mould is flexible. You simply bend it open to release the piece, and the hardened cast comes away without catching or breaking. According to Glorex, the mould is frost- and heat-resistant and long-lasting.

With ten different designs in one mould, you cast several masks in one go. This is useful for decorations, pendants or wall decor, which you can still paint or varnish once they have hardened.

Casting the masks

Place the mould on a flat, level surface so that the backs of the reliefs come out even. Mix the casting compound according to the manufacturer's instructions and fill the hollows right up to the edge. Tap the mould lightly on the work surface so that air bubbles rise and fine details such as eyes and wrinkles are formed. Once fully hardened, carefully bend the mould open and push the piece out from the back. If you remove the cast too early, thin areas can easily break.

Casting compound and quantity

According to Glorex, the mould is suitable for casting powder and soap. For the whole set, allow 260 g of casting compound. It is better to mix a little less and make up more as needed, because mixed casting compound sets quickly. Once you have used a mould with soap or casting compound, do not use it for food afterwards.
