MINI Cast-In Hangers: Plaster or Concrete Cast Pieces for Hanging

With the Glorex MINI cast-in hanger, you can turn cast pieces into wall decorations: the plastic hanger is pressed into casting compounds such as plaster or concrete, and you then hang the finished piece on the wall. The bag contains 6 pieces, enough for several cast pieces.

You insert the hanger only after casting. This means you do not have to fix it in the mould, and the back of the piece stays free during casting.

How to insert the hanger

Cast your piece as usual and wait until the compound starts to firm up but has not yet fully set. Then press the hanger into the compound on the back until it sits firmly. If the compound is still too liquid, the hanger will sink in or slip away; if it has already hardened through, it can no longer be inserted. Place it as centrally as possible in the upper area so that the piece hangs straight. Then let the piece dry completely before hanging it. Check beforehand that the hanger will safely support the weight of your piece. The MINI is the small version; for larger pieces, Glorex also offers a medium size.
