Victorinox Companion Slim Alox Red – pocket tool without blade

Victorinox Companion Slim Alox Red – bladeless pocket tool

The Victorinox Companion Slim Alox in red is a slim pocket tool without a blade, for the office, home, workshop and leisure. Instead of a knife blade, it has scissors, a box opener, a bottle opener, a screwdriver and a wire stripper. According to Victorinox, there are 6 functions in total.

The scales are made of Alox, which is anodised aluminium. At 93 mm long, 22 mm wide, 12 mm high and 67 g, it is flat and light and fits into a trouser or jacket pocket. The tool is made in Switzerland and comes with the Victorinox lifetime guarantee.

What you can use the tools for

Use the box opener to slit the tape on cardboard boxes. Place it flat against the taped seam and push it in only far enough to avoid cutting the contents. The scissors cut paper, film, string and fabric. The wire stripper removes the insulation from thin cables. Only work on cables that are not live. The screwdriver (3 mm) fits small screws, and the bottle opener is for crown caps. The scissors and box opener have sharp edges, so fold them back in after use.

Choosing a model

The Companion Slim Alox is made for anyone who prefers a pocket tool without a blade. The model is also available in silver. Both have the same design and the same dimensions.
