JIG Board Wire Jig – Bend Jewellery Wire Accurately and Repeatably

The JIG Board is a wire jig for bending jewellery wire and strips. It is a flat acrylic board with holes into which you insert metal pegs. You bend the wire around these pegs to make wire shapes, lettering and embellishments for jewellery, card making, mixed media and decoration.

Because the pegs set the position, shapes you need several times (for example matching loops, pendants or earrings) come out evenly. At 10.5 × 10.5 cm, the board stays easy to handle.

Working with the wire jig

Insert the pegs into the holes to match your template. Place the wire against one peg and guide it around the others, peg by peg. Then take the shape off the board and snip off the ends. If needed, they can be reshaped with pliers.

Bending tips

Wire springs back slightly after bending. Bend it a little tighter around the pegs than the finished shape is meant to be. The short 16 mm pegs are for small loops and eyes, while the long 60 mm pegs suit larger, taller shapes or several layers of wire.
