The Prym Omnigrid Multi Triangle 60° patchwork ruler (art. no. 611658) is a triangular plastic specialist ruler for 30° and 60° cuts in patchwork. You can use it to measure and cut triangles, half triangles, diamonds, trapeziums and hexagons. The scale is marked in inches, which suits English sewing patterns and quilting instructions.

The yellow and black grid print is on the underside and is meant to be legible on both light and dark fabrics. The material is thick enough to guide the rotary cutter safely along the edge. The ruler is suitable for right- and left-handers. A small guide to basic cutting techniques is included.

Cutting with the ruler

Place the ruler with the right marking against the edge of the fabric or an edge you have already cut. Hold it down with your fingers spread and cut with the rotary cutter, always away from you, along the edge of the ruler. Always cut along the edge of the ruler, otherwise it slips easily. The enclosed manual on basic cutting techniques shows how to cut strips and triangles for your pattern.
