Efco black elastic cord – for stringing beads

Efco's black elastic cord is used for stringing beads and for homemade jewellery such as bracelets or necklaces. It comes in two thicknesses: Ø 0.50 mm in a 10 m length and Ø 1.00 mm in a 5 m length. Choose the size from the options.

Because the cord is elastic, you simply slip bracelets over your hand later and do not need a clasp. Black is barely noticeable between the beads and goes well with dark or colourful beads.

Which thickness suits your beads?

The thickness depends on the hole in your beads: the cord must pass through easily, but should not have too much play. Ø 0.50 mm suits beads with a small hole, while Ø 1.00 mm is for beads with a larger hole or when you want the cord to give more hold.

How to use

Cut the cord with a little extra length for the knots and thread on the beads. Tie the ends together with a double knot and pull it tight. Only trim the ends once the knot is secure, and leave a small length. The knot can often be pulled into a larger bead, where it is then hidden. Do not stretch the cord to its limit for long periods, so that it does not lose its elasticity.
