LYKKE JUMBO Rosewood Ball Winder – winding yarn into even balls

The LYKKE JUMBO ball winder in a rosewood finish winds yarn cakes or unravelled yarn into neat, round balls. It is made of rosewood (Sheesham) and crafted by hand. The table clamp attaches it to the edge of a table.

The base plate is 12.7 cm wide and 35.2 cm long, and the yarn guide is 12.7 cm high. A ball size of approx. 110–115 g is recommended. The low-friction bearing keeps it running smoothly.

Winding a ball

Clamp the winder firmly to the edge of a table with the table clamp. For yarn cakes, remove the ball band, find the end of the yarn and thread it through the yarn guide. Then wind it on evenly. Knitting that has been unravelled can also be turned back into a neat ball this way. Put yarn in hanks onto a swift first so that it does not tangle. Some assembly is needed before first use.

Who is the JUMBO for?

The size is intended for balls of up to approx. 115 g. This makes it suitable for knitting projects where you wind larger quantities of yarn, and as an accessory for knitting and crochet. The storage bag protects the wood when stowing it away.
