Prym Iron-On Twill Patches – Repair Patches to Iron On or Sew On

Prym iron-on twill patches (art. no. 929220) cover worn areas on jeans and cotton clothing. The card contains 4 square 100 % cotton patches with rounded corners, 1 each in red, yellow, green and blue, each measuring 13 × 13 cm.

According to Prym, the adhesive coating over the whole surface gives a firm, lasting hold. On children's clothing and workwear, you can also iron the patches onto heavily worn areas such as knees or elbows as a precaution, before the fabric wears through.

Applying the patches

Place the patch adhesive side down on the clean, smooth area and press it firmly with the iron. Set the ironing temperature according to the care instructions of your garment. For a hole or tear, it is best to place the patch underneath the damaged area from the inside. For extra security, especially on knees and elbows, sew the edge down by hand or with a sewing machine: Prym points out that sewing as well increases the hold.

Choosing the size

At 13 × 13 cm, the patches also cover longer tears. If you need a smaller area, simply cut the patch to size. The four colours let you match the trousers discreetly or choose a deliberate contrast.
