Rico Design Luxury Organic Cotton Silk – soft summer yarn with a silky sheen

Rico Design Luxury Organic Cotton Silk dk is a summer knitting yarn made of 77% cotton and 23% silk. A twisted silk thread wraps around the cotton thread and gives it stability. The silk adds a slight sheen to the otherwise matt cotton and makes the knitted piece soft and pleasant against the skin. Choose your colour from the options.

One ball weighs 50 g and has a length of 120 m, which works out at 240 m per 100 g. You can use this figure to calculate how many balls you need for your project.

What the yarn is suited to

According to Rico, the yarn is intended for summer projects. With needles of 3.5–4 mm you knit at DK weight, making light pieces for warm days. The tension is 22 stitches × 30 rows over 10 × 10 cm. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. Yarn requirements depend on the design: for size 40, Rico gives approx. 550 g. If possible, buy the quantity for one project from the same dye lot so that there are no colour differences.

Care
