Prym Buttonhole Elastic in White – Elastic with Ready-Made Buttonholes

Prym buttonhole elastic in white is a smooth elastic with ready-made buttonholes. It makes the waist of children's clothes or maternity wear adjustable. The elastic is 18 mm wide and 1 m long, soft and supple, and does not restrict, according to Prym.

As the buttonholes are already in the elastic, you do not need to sew or cut any holes. It is washable up to 60 °C and tumble dryer safe, so you can also use it for children's clothes that are washed often. The elastic is also available in black.

How to use the elastic

Sew a casing into the waistband that is slightly wider than 18 mm, so that the elastic lies flat and does not twist. Thread the elastic through the casing with a safety pin, leaving one end visible. Then fasten it with a button through one of the buttonholes. The buttonhole you choose determines the waist size. As your child grows or during pregnancy, simply move the button along by one hole.
