Staedtler Noris jumbo 119 HB learner's pencil, triangular

Staedtler Noris jumbo 119 HB – triangular learner's pencil with soft surface

The Staedtler Noris jumbo 119 is a jumbo-size learner's pencil for first writing practice. Its ergonomic triangular shape helps children find the right grip. The non-slip soft surface gives small hands extra hold.

The lead has a diameter of approx. 4.0 mm and a hardness of HB. It writes smoothly and evenly. According to Staedtler, its formulation and bonded construction make it especially break-resistant, which reduces breakages and re-sharpening when beginners press down hard.

Who is the Noris jumbo 119 for?

The thick triangular barrel sits securely between thumb, index and middle finger and gives children starting school a guide for finger position. HB is a medium hardness: the line is clearly visible without smudging. The name panel on the barrel makes it easy to recognise the pencil in everyday school life.

Material and origin

Staedtler makes the Noris jumbo 119 in Germany from upcycled wood shavings sourced from PEFC-certified, sustainably managed forests. The manufacturer shows the PEFC logo on the product. To re-sharpen it, you need a sharpener for jumbo pencils.
