Faber-Castell Ambition Pear Wood Fountain Pen, Medium Nib, Reddish Brown

Faber-Castell Ambition fountain pen in pear wood with a stainless steel medium nib

The Ambition Pear Wood fountain pen from Faber-Castell is a slim pen with a reddish-brown pear wood barrel and a stainless steel nib in size M (medium). The medium nib suits everyday writing, notes and letters, with a clearly legible line. The design is simple and clean, and the grain of the wood gives it a warm colour.

The end piece, the front piece and the spring-loaded clip are made of metal with a high-gloss chrome finish. You can post the metal cap on the end of the barrel while writing. The white gift box with a printed sleeve also makes the pen suitable as a present.

Filling and changing ink

The pen is fitted with a converter. It lets you draw ink from a bottle: dip the nib and the opening of the section into the ink, operate the converter as instructed, then wipe the nib with a cloth. Alternatively, you can insert an ink cartridge, available separately in various colours. If you want to change ink, rinse the converter and nib with clear water first so that the colours do not mix.

Who is a medium nib for?

Size M sits between fine and broad and is a common choice for normal handwriting on writing paper. According to Faber-Castell, the writing module is interchangeable; Faber-Castell offers a replacement writing module from the Ambition series as an accessory.
