Pelikan Classic M205 Blue Marbled – Piston-Fill Fountain Pen with Medium Stainless Steel Nib

The Pelikan Classic M205 in blue marbled is a piston-fill fountain pen with a high-gloss polished stainless steel nib in medium (M) width. It writes with a medium line, which suits everyday handwriting, notes and letters well.

The barrel and cap are made of resin, and the ring and clip are chrome-plated, with a silver-coloured shine. The filling system is a differential piston mechanism. The cap screws on. Through the ink window you can see at any time how much ink is left in the pen. The pen is made in Germany.

Filling the piston fountain pen

Unscrew the cap and dip the nib, including the opening, fully into the ink. Then turn the piston knob at the end of the barrel until the ink has been drawn in, and wipe the nib with a cloth. You can check the fill level in the ink window. The ink reservoir holds approx. 1.3 ml. If you want to change the ink colour later, rinse the pen through with clean water first so that the inks do not mix.

Choosing the nib width

Medium sits between fine and broad nibs and is a good choice if you want to write legibly with a rich line in everyday use. For small handwriting or thinner paper, a finer nib may be more comfortable. The Classic M205 in blue marbled is also available in other nib widths.
