This rectangular kiln shelf is intended as a replacement or addition for your kiln. It measures 340 × 320 mm and is 13 mm thick. You can use it as an extra shelf to create several firing levels and fit more ware into each firing.

The rectangular shape makes good use of the space in kilns with a square or rectangular chamber. Check the internal dimensions of your kiln before buying.

Will the shelf fit your kiln?

Measure the usable firing chamber of your kiln and compare it with 340 × 320 mm. Leave some space around the shelf, between it and the heating elements and the kiln wall, so that the heat can circulate freely. If you want to create two levels, place the shelf on kiln posts and make sure it rests securely and level on all the posts. Position the ware so that glaze runs cannot reach any shelf or post.
