Prym Stretch Needles 130/705 – Assorted Sizes 75 and 90 for Jersey and Knitted Fabrics

The Prym stretch sewing machine needles 130/705 assortment contains 5 needles: 3 in size 75 and 2 in size 90. You can use them to sew stretch fabrics such as T-shirt jersey, silk jersey, Lycra and other knits on home sewing machines.

The medium ballpoint tip is rounded and slides between the fibres instead of cutting them. The special scarf is designed to reduce skipped stitches. With the flat shank, the needles fit standard home sewing machines that use the 130/705 system. This is usually stated in your machine's manual. You can use all common sewing threads.

Which size for which fabric?

Size 75 (75/11) is the finer needle for light, thin stretch fabrics such as silk jersey. Use size 90 (90/14) for medium-weight stretch fabrics. With the assortment you have both sizes to hand and can match the needle to the fabric without buying two packs.

Sewing tips

Sew a test seam on a fabric offcut before starting your project, to check that the needle size and stitch suit each other. If you get skipped stitches or thread breaks, change the needle: a blunt or bent needle can damage the knit.
