Choosing the size

Size 90 suits medium-weight stretch fabrics, for example T-shirts or sportswear. For very fine, lightweight knits, the finer stretch needle in size 75 is the better choice. If fabric and needle size do not match, skipped stitches or small holes in the fabric are more likely.

Inserting and changing

The flat shank has a flat side that must sit aligned in the machine. It usually faces the back – your machine's manual gives the exact direction. Push the needle up as far as it will go and tighten the clamping screw. If skipped stitches occur even though thread and tension are correct, change the needle for a new one first.
