Prym eyelets with washers are intended for lacing, craft projects, clothing and home decor. You fit them without sewing. The pack contains 10 silver-coloured eyelets, Ø 14 mm, in rust-free brass. Thanks to the material, they are suitable for garments and decorative pieces where rust must not leave marks. The matching tool is included. All you need is a hammer.

At 14 mm, these eyelets are much larger than the small eyelets in the range. They stand out as a decorative feature and also let thicker cords or ribbons through, for example on curtains, bags or decorative pieces.

Fitting the eyelets

Fit the 14 mm eyelets only with the tool supplied and a hammer. Work on a sturdy, hard surface. Place the eyelet on the right side of the fabric where you want it, and the washer on the wrong side. Then position the tool and strike with the hammer until both parts are firmly joined. Try it first on a scrap of fabric. That way you will see how many blows you need.

A secure fit

The eyelet should sit so firmly that it can no longer be turned. Otherwise it may come loose when the fabric is pulled taut, for example when tightening lacing. With thin or loosely woven fabrics, reinforcing the back, for example with interfacing, helps.
