Prym Eyelets with Washers Ø 14 mm – No-Sew for Lacing and Decoration

Prym eyelets with washers (art. no. 542426) reinforce holes in fabric without any sewing. You can use them for lace-up fastenings on clothing, as a decorative feature, for craft projects or in home décor. The pack contains 80 silver-coloured eyelets in rustproof brass with washers, and a fixing tool is included. This quantity also lets you fit out larger projects or several smaller ones.

Fitting the eyelets

What matters is that the eyelet sits firmly and can no longer turn. Otherwise it may work loose when the fabric is pulled taut, for example in lacing.

• Mark the position and cut or punch a hole in the fabric that matches the eyelet.
• Push the eyelet through the hole from the front and place the washer on the back.
• Join the two parts with the tool supplied and a hammer until nothing wobbles.
• Reinforce thin or loosely woven fabrics beforehand with interfacing so that the hole does not tear out.

Uses for the eyelets

With a diameter of 14 mm, the eyelets suit cords, ribbons and laces on clothing, bags and decorative projects. The silver-coloured finish looks understated and goes with many fabrics. Rustproof brass matters if you use eyelets on fabrics that are washed or come into contact with moisture.
