The Prym creative hammer (art. no. 673120) is a rubber mallet for fixing press studs, rivets and eyelets. According to Prym, it sets no-sew fasteners cleanly, leaving no residue. The light grey hard rubber head leaves no marks on light fabrics. The large striking surface spreads the force evenly and gives a straight blow. The fibreglass handle is light but sturdy.

You can also use the hammer for other jobs, for example for the nails under a bag base or for the fastenings of key ring charms and belt buckles. Thanks to the balance between low weight and striking surface, no metal is bent.

Setting no-sew fasteners

Place the workpiece on a firm, level surface so that the blow is not cushioned. Insert the press stud, rivet or eyelet as described in the instructions for the item and place the hammer head squarely on top. Strike with the whole surface, not the edge: this keeps the force evenly distributed, and the metal part is not driven in crooked. On light fabrics the hard rubber head stays clean.
