Prym sew-free trouser hooks – a trouser fastening without sewing

With Prym's sew-free trouser hooks, you can fit a hook fastening to trousers and skirts without sewing it on by hand. The pack contains 4 pieces (hooks and bars) in 13 mm, silver colour/burnished and made of brass. The matching tool and instructions are included, so all you need is a hammer.

According to Prym, the hooks are rustproof. You can wash, clean, iron and mangle them, so they also suit clothing that is washed often.

Fitting the trouser hooks

This is the closed version, in which the hooks sit concealed. According to Prym, it can only be fitted with the tool supplied and a hammer. The instructions in the pack show the individual steps.

• Before fitting, mark the position of the hook and bar on the waistband so that the two sit exactly opposite each other.
• Work on a firm, level surface when hammering.
• Try the fastening on a scrap of fabric first before fitting it to your garment.
