Prym Jersey Press Studs 10 mm – No-Sew for Thin and Stretchy Fabrics

Prym jersey press studs in 10 mm are no-sew fasteners for thin, elastic fabrics such as jersey and stretch, for example on baby and children's clothing. The integrated prong ring pushes the fabric threads aside instead of cutting through them. There is therefore no need to pre-punch a hole, and the fabric stays undamaged.

The pack contains 10 silver-coloured studs. Tool and instructions are included, so you can get started straight away. According to Prym, the press studs are washable, dry-cleanable, and iron- and mangle-proof.

Fitting the press studs

First mark the position of the top and bottom parts on the fabric, making sure both sides line up exactly. Then fit the parts with the tool provided, following the instructions. The prong ring grips into the weave as you do so. Try it first on an offcut as a test piece: this shows whether the stud holds securely on your jersey.

10 mm or 18 mm?

The 10 mm size suits small, discreet fastenings, for instance on baby clothes. The same range also includes jersey press studs with an 18 mm diameter (6 pieces) for places where a larger stud is wanted.
