Prym Trouser and Skirt Hooks 12 mm – Flat Sew-On Fastener

The Prym trouser and skirt hook and bar (art. no. 265225) fastens trouser and skirt waistbands flat, with hardly anything visible from the outside. The card contains 2 hooks and 2 bars in silver, 12 mm wide.

The parts are made of rust-protected metal with a smooth surface and rounded edges. The fastener opens and closes easily and adds hardly any bulk under the waistband. The hook has three sewing holes and the bar has two, so there is no need to pre-drill or pierce anything.

Sewing on the hook

The hook goes on the inside of the waistband end, and the bar opposite it, where the hook catches. Try the position on the closed waistband first, so that the waistband edges butt together and nothing slips. Then sew through each hole with several firm stitches. Double thread gives the fastener a firmer hold.

Which width to choose?

This fastener is 12 mm wide. Choose the width to suit the waistband and the fabric; narrower hooks are available as separate items in the same Prym range.
