Prym Sew-On Press Studs 9 mm in Black – Small Rustproof Brass Fasteners

Prym sew-on press studs in black (art. no. 341164) fasten clothing, accessories and lightweight home textiles. The 12 press studs are 9 mm in diameter and made of rustproof brass, and their small size makes them barely noticeable.

Each press stud consists of a socket part and a ball part. The ball part has a rolled edge, which protects the fabric from damage. Four holes on each part let you sew the stud on evenly and securely. The press studs are washable up to 40 °C.

Sewing on the press studs

Mark the position of the ball part and the socket part with tailor's chalk so that both halves meet exactly when fastened. Then sew each part on with sewing thread through all four holes. Take the stitches through each hole several times and fasten off the thread securely at the end so that the stud does not come loose under strain. Black thread is barely visible on the fabric.

Choosing the size

At 9 mm, these press studs are small and discreet. They suit fastenings on lightweight fabrics. For heavier items, the Prym range includes larger press studs.
