Prym side release buckle, heavy-duty, 40 mm – flat fastener with adjustable length

The Prym heavy-duty side release buckle (art. no. 416372) is a black plastic fastener with simple length adjustment for rucksacks, suitcases and clothing such as work trousers or dungarees. The buckle is break-resistant and so flat that it hardly adds any bulk.

The smooth surface sits comfortably and lets the straps run through without friction. Two hooks on the upper slot hold the straps firmly in the guide, so the strap keeps running smoothly.

Fitting the side release buckle

Measure the width of your webbing or bag strap beforehand: the slot width of the buckle must match it, otherwise the strap will run crooked or jam. Thread the strap through the slot and adjust the length by pulling it through the buckle. Neaten the loose end or turn it under and stitch it so that it does not fray and cannot pull out of the buckle. The side release buckle suits bags, rucksacks and suitcase straps as well as the straps on work trousers and dungarees.
