This black plastic side release buckle with a straight clip fastening closes webbing that is 25 mm wide. You can use it on bags, rucksacks, straps and dog collars. At 64.5 × 39 mm it is compact, and the black colour is barely noticeable on dark webbing.

The clip fastening simply clicks together and is released again to open. This suits repairs when a buckle needs replacing, and your own sewing projects.

Fitting the buckle

The webbing width is what matters: the buckle fits webbing that is 25 mm wide; narrower webbing slips, and wider webbing cannot be threaded through. Thread the webbing through the bar of the buckle half, fold the end over and sew it down with several rows of stitching. Before sewing, check that both halves click neatly into each other, and try clipping them together with the webbing once beforehand.
