Rayher Wooden Tray Set, 2 Sizes, 30 x 20 cm and 39 x 28 cm

Rayher Wooden Tray Set – two untreated trays to decorate and customise

The Rayher wooden tray set contains two rectangular, untreated trays in paulownia wood (foxglove tree), measuring 30 x 20 cm and 39 x 28 cm. You decorate them as you like and use them as decoration, as a gift idea or for serving.

As the wood is untreated, you decide on the look and finish yourself: left natural for a simple look, or painted, covered and embellished. The small and the large tray go together and can be arranged stacked or side by side.

Ways to decorate

Among other things, Rayher suggests acrylic paints, chalkboard paint and chalk, covering with paper or fabric, mosaic, glued-on embellishments and pyrography, for example with the Rayher pyrography pen (art. no. 89766000). Wood stain, chalk paint and decoupage also suit untreated wood. Sand the surface lightly before painting and wipe off the dust, and the paint will go on more evenly. With dried flowers, candles or seasonal decorations, the trays become table decorations.

Which size for what?

The smaller tray, 30 x 20 cm, suits candles, vases or small groups of decorations. The larger one, 39 x 28 cm, has room for breakfast in bed, a use Rayher itself suggests. If you want to serve food on a painted or stained tray, choose paints and varnishes that are expressly intended for food contact, or cover the tray with a liner.
