Natural cork bark pieces – for rocks, mountains and decoration

The natural cork bark pieces are three pieces of cork bark for decorating and crafts, each measuring approx. 15 × 15 cm. In model making, you can use them to represent rocks or mountains. They are also often used to decorate terrariums.

Cork bark is a natural product: each piece has its own surface and shape, and colour and shape may differ from the picture. For rocks and mountains in a model this is an advantage, as the irregular structure looks natural.

Using cork bark in model making

For rocks and mountains, cut the pieces to the size you want with a sharp knife, hold them against the model to test the fit, and only then glue them in place. Several pieces at different heights can be layered into rock ledges or steep slopes. If you match the bark to the rest of the landscape with paint, the transitions look more natural. As every piece looks different, you can also position the three pieces differently depending on your model.
