Wooden dolls' house kit, 18 × 27 × 25 cm, plywood

Wooden dolls' house kit to slot together and decorate

This wooden dolls' house kit is a self-assembly house that slots together, and you can paint, decorate or furnish it however you like. The parts are made of light plywood, 4 mm thick, with punched-out windows and doors. One side of the house is completely open, so you can easily reach the rooms.

With an 18 × 27 cm footprint and a height of 25 cm, the house is compact and fits on a shelf or table. As a decorative piece, you can leave it natural, paint it or fit it out with fabrics and miniature furniture.

Decorating the dolls' house

It is best to paint the individual parts before slotting them together, as this lets you reach the corners and inner walls easily. Keep the slot joints free of thick paint so that the parts still fit later. Do a dry run of the assembly before using paint or glue. Acrylic paint, chalk paint or decoupage all work well for decorating; fabric scraps used as wallpaper, carpet or curtains give the house extra character.
