Beech wooden cube, 16 mm – untreated, for painting and decorating

The beech wooden cube has an edge length of 16 mm and rounded corners. It is a blank for games, jewellery, decoration, model making and other crafts.

The wood is untreated. You can paint, glue or stain the cube to suit your project exactly. The rounded corners sit comfortably in the hand and are less angular than a sharp-edged cube.

Decorating the wooden cubes

Acrylic paints work well for colour; apply them in thin layers. If you want to leave the grain visible, use wood stain. Try it first on a single cube so you can judge the shade. To glue and join the cubes, use wood glue or craft glue. For jewellery or pendants, you can drill through the cube with a wood drill bit. Secure it firmly while drilling and place a piece of scrap wood underneath so the wood does not splinter on the exit side.
