Large 2-part Styropor® egg – to paint, glue and felt

The 2-part Styropor® egg measures 300 mm high and 200 mm wide on the outside. You push the two halves together and make Easter decorations, spring decorations or gift packaging from it. As the egg can be separated, you can also open it and fill it.

The surface can be painted, covered with glued-on decorations or felted with felting wool. Thanks to its size, the egg suits large-scale decorations as well as craft classes and school projects.

Decorating the egg

For painting, use water-based paints such as acrylic or craft paint. Solvent-based glues, spray varnishes and paints can attack polystyrene, so test them first on an inconspicuous spot. For gluing and felting, use a glue that is intended for polystyrene. With felting wool and a felting needle, you can also felt the surface dry.

Opening and filling

The cavity measures 250 mm high and 175 mm wide on the inside. You can pack small gifts or sweets in it before pushing the two halves back together. It is best to decorate the halves separately: this way you can reach every area and the joint stays free of paint and glue.
