Rayher earwires 20 mm – fish hook earwires with loop for making your own earrings

Rayher earwires (fish hooks) are the basis for handmade earrings. The hooks are 20 mm long and have a loop from which you hang charms, beads or other decorative elements. A small ball and a fine spiral serve as decoration. The bag contains 4 earwires, enough for two pairs of earrings.

The simple shape suits almost any charm, so the earrings are quick to vary.

Making an earring

Hang the charm or bead directly on the loop, or join the two with a jump ring. Open the jump ring sideways with two pairs of pliers by twisting the ends in opposite directions. If you pull it apart outwards, it loses its shape and no longer closes properly. Two matching charms and two hooks make a pair. With 4 hooks in the bag, you can therefore make two pairs.
