URSUS Spring Fuse Bead Kit – Make a Bee, Bird, Butterfly and Flower

The URSUS "Frühling" (Spring) fuse bead kit is a complete set for arranging spring designs from fuse beads and ironing them into solid figures. The kit contains 2,000 colourful midi beads, 5 mm in diameter, a transparent pegboard, tweezers, templates and ironing paper. All you need is an iron.

The templates show designs such as a bird, bee, butterfly and flower. Because the pegboard is see-through, you simply slide the template underneath and place the beads colour by colour. The tweezers help you position even single beads accurately. The designs measure approx. 5.5 × 4.5 cm to 14.5 × 8.7 cm, so you can use them afterwards as pendants, magnets or small decorations.

Turning the beads into a solid pendant

Place the template under the pegboard and push the beads onto the pegs following the colour pattern. Work row by row so that no gaps appear. Once the design is finished, lay the ironing paper over it and iron without steam, using slow, circular movements, until the beads are fused together on the surface. Let the design cool, lift it off the pegboard, turn it over and iron the back as well. Ironing for too long or too firmly makes the holes in the beads melt shut, so it is best to check the result frequently as you go. The iron gets hot, so iron carefully.

Who is the kit for?

The kit is an introduction to fuse bead crafting: the templates set the colours and shape, and the 5 mm midi beads are easy to pick up and place with the tweezers. Once the beads are used up, you can design your own motifs and arrange them on the pegboard with the remaining beads. Contains small parts. Keep away from small children.
