Rayher Faceted Glass Beads Olive – sparkling beads for jewellery and decoration

Rayher's olive-shaped faceted glass beads are intended for jewellery, dreamcatchers and for sewing onto clothing. Each bead is approx. 6 mm long with a diameter of 4 mm. The facets make the beads sparkle, and the surface has a shimmer. The tub contains 50 beads. Choose your colour from the options.

According to Rayher, the glass beads have high lightfastness, are sweat-resistant and resistant to perfume. This is useful for bracelets and necklaces that you wear every day. The beads are hand washed at 30 °C.

Use and handling

The olive shape sits lengthways in a piece of jewellery and looks different from a round bead. You can thread them, make them into bracelets, necklaces or earrings, or use them as an accent on dreamcatchers. To sew them onto clothing, stitch them on singly or in rows with a needle and thread. Faceted edges can wear through thin threads over time. For jewellery, use strong beading thread, nylon thread or jewellery wire. Before you start, check that your material passes easily through the bead hole.

Which bead to choose?

For projects with a round look, Rayher also offers faceted glass beads in round shapes, 4 mm and 6 mm. The 6 × 4 mm olive works well between round beads, adding more variety of shape to a piece of jewellery.
