Rayher Renaissance wax-coated glass beads, Ø 12 mm, are beads with a glass core for threading onto necklaces, making jewellery and sewing on. One tin contains 21 beads. Choose your colour from the options.

According to Rayher, the beads are waxed 7 times and varnished twice. This makes them lightfast, sweat-resistant and abrasion-resistant, which is useful for jewellery worn directly on the skin. At 12 mm, they are the largest beads in the Renaissance range and make bold accents.

Uses and choosing from the range

Rayher lists jewellery, sewing on, bead angels and stars as uses. Strung side by side, 21 beads of 12 mm each give a length of about 25 cm. This lets you work out whether one tin is enough for your piece of jewellery or whether you will combine them with smaller beads. The range is also available in Ø 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mm, with the 10 mm bead also available in matt. Large beads like these work as a focal point, while smaller ones are better as spacer beads.
