SUKI upholstery nails in the Renaissance lacquered finish fix upholstery covers and add a decorative accent to a chair, stool, bench or headboard. They measure 9 × 13 mm and are made of lacquered iron.

Upholstery nails have a long tradition in furniture making. You can set them close together to create a continuous decorative edge, or spaced slightly apart for a lighter, dotted look.

Setting the nails evenly

Mark the row of nails beforehand with a pencil and ruler so that the spacing is even. Place the nail upright and drive it in with light, controlled hammer blows. The head should sit flat on the cover without pressing into it. When hammering, place a piece of fabric or thin card between the hammer and the nail head so that the lacquer is not damaged. Try out the spacing first on a spot that will not be visible later.
