Matt Transparent Shrink Plastic – for Colouring and Shrinking in the Oven

This matt transparent shrink plastic comes as 100 sheets measuring 20 × 30 cm and is suitable for charms, jewellery and small craft projects. You create a design on the rough side, cut it out and heat it in the oven at 170 °C. The plastic shrinks to approx. 40 % of its original size and becomes thicker, firmer and sturdier.

The matt surface, rough on one side, takes colouring pencils, permanent markers and pigment inks, and you can also stamp or print on it. The transparency gives the finished piece depth. With 100 sheets, you can also make a test piece at your leisure before creating your actual design.

Working with the plastic

Draw or print your design on the rough side. Because the plastic shrinks to approx. 40 % of its original size, plan your designs correspondingly larger.

• Draw or print the design on the rough side and decorate it with colouring pencils, permanent markers or pigment ink
• Cut out the design; for charms, punch the hole before heating, as it shrinks too
• Heat in the oven at 170 °C for a few minutes
• The plastic curls up briefly and then lies flat again; then take it out and leave it to cool, as it is hot

Shrinking produces small, sturdy pieces. Typical projects are keyrings, name tags, jewellery such as pendants or earrings, and handmade gifts.
