Rayher Nylon Thread 0.50 mm – Barely Visible for Stringing and Hanging

The Rayher nylon thread, 0.50 mm in diameter, is a transparent thread for jewellery, beaded animals and hanging decorations. It is barely visible and light, yet holds your stringing work together. The reel holds 25 m.

According to Rayher, the thread has a breaking strength of 10 kg and a hanging load of 2 kg. This tells you whether it is strong enough for your project, for example for heavier beads or for decorations to hang up.

Which thread thickness suits your project?

Choose the thickness to suit the hole in the bead. A 0.50 mm thread suits beads with a larger hole and carries more weight than the thinner versions. If you need to pass through the same opening several times in your stringing work, for example with beaded animals, a thick thread quickly becomes a tight fit. In that case a thinner thread is the better choice. Rayher also offers the nylon thread in 0.35 mm and 0.30 mm.
