Städter Sheep Embossing Cookie Cutter – Stainless Steel with Embossed Detail, 5.5 cm

The Städter sheep embossing cookie cutter is made of stainless steel and cuts sheep shapes from dough, fondant or marzipan. Thanks to the embossing, the shape gets not only its outline but also a textured surface. At 5.5 cm it is a small cutter that suits biscuits, cake decorations and little gifts, for example for Easter or spring.

The cutter can also be used for crafting and modelling, for example with modelling clay, salt dough or FIMO. It belongs to Städter's range of stainless steel embossing cookie cutters.

Cutting with embossing

Roll out the dough evenly and dip the cutter briefly in flour before cutting; for fondant, use icing sugar or cornflour. Press it straight down firmly until it touches the work surface, then lift it off vertically. The embossing is best preserved when the dough is well chilled and firm, such as a shortcrust dough without much raising agent. Doughs that rise a lot in the oven lose the fine texture more quickly.

If you use the cutter for modelling clay or FIMO, do not use it for food afterwards.
