Rayher Silicone Bowl Mould 18 cm – Cast Bowls and Decorate the Perforated Rim

The Rayher silicone bowl mould (art. no. 36197000) is used to cast decorative bowls from craft concrete, jewellery concrete, Raysin casting powder or casting resin. The mould has a diameter of 18 cm and is 6 cm high. Once cast, the perforated rim can be wrapped and decorated with cord, string, raffia or wire. This turns a simple bowl into a piece with its own character, for example as a jewellery dish or natural decoration.

According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely flexible and keeps its shape. The mould is reusable and resistant to frost and heat from -40 °C to +230 °C.

Casting and demoulding the bowl

Mix your casting material according to the instructions on the pack and fill the mould evenly. Let the material harden completely before demoulding. Because the silicone is stretchy, the finished bowl comes out easily: pull the rim away slightly all the way round and push the bowl out from underneath. Clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid if needed.

Quantities needed

For the 18 cm mould, Rayher gives the following quantities: approx. 460 g of craft concrete, jewellery concrete or craft concrete 5in1, or approx. 350 g of Raysin 200/250. This means you can weigh out the casting material in advance rather than having to guess.

Not suitable for food. Once you have used a mould for casting materials such as concrete or casting resin, do not use it for food again.
