HobbyFun Silicone House Mould – small casting mould for plaster, resin and soap

The HobbyFun silicone house mould is a small house-shaped casting mould for plaster, resin, soap or concrete. The silicone is flexible, so finished castings come out of the mould easily and you can use it again and again.

At 8.5 × 2.5 × 1.5 cm, the little house suits decorative pendants, table decorations, gift tags or small pieces of soap. The mould holds approx. 40 g of casting compound, which makes it easy to plan the quantity for several castings.

Casting the little house

Place the mould on a level surface so that the back of the casting is smooth. Pour in the compound slowly to keep air bubbles to a minimum, and tap the mould lightly. Let the compound harden completely before demoulding. Then gently bend the silicone back and push the casting out. Otherwise fine details on the edges can easily break off.

Cleaning and notes on use

After demoulding, clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid. The mould is intended for casting plaster, resin, soap or concrete and is not a baking tin. Once a mould has been used for this, do not use it for food again.

Which size to choose

The house mould is also available in a larger size of approx. 11.5 × 3.5 × 2.5 cm. The small house at 8.5 cm suits fine pendants and several castings side by side, while the larger mould suits a sturdier single piece.
