Rayher Latex Buddha Mould – reusable one-piece mould for concrete and Raysin

With the Rayher latex Buddha mould you can cast a small Buddha figure 12.5 cm tall in creative concrete or white Raysin casting powder. The mould measures 6.5 × 12.5 cm and is a one-piece mould: the figure is cast in three dimensions in a single pour.

The mould is made of latex and, according to Rayher, is durable, sturdy and reusable. This means you can cast several figures one after another. Because latex is stretchy, the hardened piece comes out of the mould easily.

Casting the Buddha

Rayher recommends hanging the mould in a suitable glass of water. The water supports the soft latex mould from the outside while you pour in the casting compound.

• Mix the casting compound following the instructions on the packaging and weigh out the quantity beforehand.
• Fill the mould with the mixture and leave it to harden completely.
• Only then gently stretch the latex mould and remove the figure.
• Paint or decorate as desired.

How much casting compound do you need?

For a figure without a base, allow 210 g of Raysin 200 or 260 g of creative concrete. If you want to add a base, you will need additional compound for it. Raysin and concrete differ in how they are processed, so always follow the instructions for the casting compound you choose.
