FORMES mini silicone moulds – 5 shapes for plaster or resin pendants

The Graine Créative FORMES mini silicone jewellery mould set contains 5 small moulds made of soft silicone, which you can use to make pendants from plaster or casting resin. The shapes are a star, a heart, a circle, a plain heart and a hexagon. Depending on the shape, they measure approx. 14 to 20 mm.

The set belongs to the Silicone Jewellery Moulds series. The other sets in the series have different motifs, while this set has simple, graphic shapes that combine well. As the silicone is soft, you release the hardened pendants by gently bending the mould and pushing the pendant out.

Casting your pendants

Place the silicone mould on a level surface so that the casting compound spreads evenly. Mix the plaster or casting resin according to the instructions for the material in question and fill the mould slowly up to the rim. Very small amounts are enough for the small moulds, so it is best to mix only a little at a time. Then tap the mould lightly on the surface so that air bubbles rise. Only push the pendant out of the mould once the compound has fully hardened.

Preparing pendants for wearing

If you want to turn the cast motif into a pendant, you can set a small eyelet into the compound before it hardens, or carefully drill the finished pendant later. With plaster, the pieces should be completely dry after hardening before you paint or seal them.
