Rayher silicone cube mould – 6 pendants per pour
The Rayher silicone cube mould has 6 small cube cavities, each 16 × 16 mm. You can use it to cast pendants in casting resin, jewellery concrete or Raysin casting powder. The silicone is flexible and keeps its shape, so the cast pieces are easy to remove once they have set. Because the mould can be used again and again, you can make several pours in a row.
The mould has small pegs. They leave holes through which you thread an eye pin after demoulding. This turns the cubes straight into pendants for necklaces, bracelets or earrings.
Casting the cubes
Pour the casting compound into the cavities until all six are filled, and leave it to set or dry completely. Then press the cubes out of the flexible silicone. To hang them, thread an eye pin through the holes left by the pegs. You can paint and decorate the finished cubes with acrylic paints, marker pens or Deco-Metall. After demoulding, clean the mould with water and, if needed, a little washing-up liquid.
How much casting compound do you need?
For all 6 cubes, Rayher gives the following quantities:
- approx. 25 ml ArtResin (12.5 ml resin + 12.5 ml hardener)
- approx. 50 g jewellery concrete
- approx. 50 g Raysin 200
