Victorinox Synergy X Alox pocket knife, red, 10 functions

Victorinox Synergy X Alox in red – pocket knife with scissors and package opener

The Victorinox Synergy X Alox (art. no. 0.8226.20) is a red pocket knife with ten functions for everyday use, the home and the workshop. It belongs to Victorinox's Alox Refined Collection. According to Victorinox, the "X" in the name stands for the extended functions provided by the precision scissors.

The scales are skeletonised Alox scales made of anodised aluminium. The large blade locks open (liner lock) and cannot be opened one-handed. The knife is made in Switzerland and comes with the Victorinox lifetime guarantee.

What the Synergy X can do

The scissors cut thread, paper, foil or labels cleanly, so you don't need a second tool. The package opener slices through adhesive tape and strapping, while the large blade handles cutting jobs such as fruit, bread or craft materials. The blade clicks into place and sits firmly before you cut. To release it, push the liner lock to the side and fold the blade closed again.

• Screwdrivers 3 mm and 7 mm for small and larger screws
• Bottle opener and wire stripper for the home and workshop
• Nail file and nail cleaner for when you're out and about

Place in the Alox Refined Collection

Thanks to the scissors, the Synergy X has more functions than the simpler models in the range. The Synergy X is available not only in red but also in dark blue and silver; the tools are the same in all colours. The skeletonised Alox scales keep the weight, at approx. 99 g, within reasonable limits for a knife with ten functions. The carrying clip is riveted.
