Rayher multicoloured wooden beads – saliva-resistant, for dummy chains and jewellery

The Rayher wooden bead mix is an assorted set of multicoloured beads in a tin, for threading dummy chains, necklaces, bracelets and pendants. The beads come in different sizes from 4 to 16 mm and in various shapes, so you have a wide choice for patterns and accents.

According to Rayher, the beads are saliva-resistant and sweat-resistant and do not run. This matters for dummy chains, because the beads come into contact with saliva and skin. The tin can be closed again after crafting, so the leftovers stay together.

Planning your beads

The mix ranges from small 4 mm beads to large 16 mm beads. Sort them by size before threading: large beads add accents, while small ones work as spacers in between. Lay out your pattern on a surface first, before you start threading.

For dummy chains

For dummy chains, use a ribbon or cord that you can knot securely and that fits through the holes of the beads. Check finished chains regularly for wear and loose beads.
