Prym snap hook – fastener for bags and key rings

The Prym snap hook (art. no. 417946) is a fastener and attachment clip for home-sewn bags, rucksacks, pouches, sports bags and changing bags. You can use it to attach bag handles easily, or as a key ring.

The hook measures 30 × 45 mm and is silver in colour. Its surface is brushed and burr-free, and the shape is rounded. The closing mechanism runs smoothly, so the hook opens and closes easily. As a visible detail on a bag, it also looks decorative.

Using the snap hook

Clip the hook onto a D-ring, a sewn fabric or webbing loop, or directly onto a bag handle. This way a handle or shoulder strap can be detached and refastened quickly when needed. Before cutting, check that your loop or ring fits through the opening of the hook, and stitch the loop several times so that the seam does not give way under load.
